Kryterion, a U.S.-based pioneer in proctoring services with over 20 years of experience, has partnered with Dutch Magento solutions provider Hyvä to launch the Hyvä Certification Program.

The credential, to be delivered through the Webasessor platform, is intended for developers building modern e-commerce stores on Magento, an open-source e-commerce platform. By combining Hyvä’s high-performance and developer-friendly solutions with Kryterion’s proven testing technology, the partnership will validate developers’ skills in implementing Hyvä Theme and Hyvä Checkout.

Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Heerlen, Netherlands, Hyvä set out to build the best Magento products to aid merchants, developers, agencies and end users alike. Their services are live in over 5,500 stores, and the company’s constant growth is fueled by its ecosystem of more than 850 agencies, 1,600 compatible extensions, and a community enriched by thousands of developers.

The partnership debuted at the Meet Magento Ukraine Event, held in Kyiv on September 4, where Hyvä hosted its first in-person certification session with support from Kryterion. The companies said the pilot underscored their shared commitment to supporting Magento developers wherever the platform thrives.

“Hyvä Certification is about empowering developers to build better, faster, and cleaner Magento stores. Hyvä is proud that the onsite certification lab at Meet-Magento Ukraine was a success,” noted Vinai Kopp, Technical Director at Hyvä’s Themes B.V.

In being delivered via Kryerion’s own Webasessor system, the organizations can design, manage and deliver testing without external publishers. The program will be available globally through Kryterion’s secure online proctoring system, allowing candidates to complete exams remotely.

“We’re proud to partner with Hyvä to bring their certification vision to life,” said Angela Street, Chief Customer Success Officer at Kryterion.

“Our shared commitment to expand testing access to individuals in Ukraine reflects the kind of positive, real-world impact we believe credentialing can have,” the executive concluded.
